Mubraidiba and Meinyunfoka villages, North Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province have the potential for small coastal resources, namely turtles. Turtle itself is one of the step animals and conservation efforts need to be done immediately. The decline in the turtle population in the coastal waters of North Manokwari is still a problem that is still a concern for turtle conservation. This is due to the lack of knowledge and community participation about the importance of conservation. so that this research is focused on the perception and participation of the community towards turtle conservation in the villages of Mubraidiba and Meinyunfoka, North Manokwari, Manokwari Regency. This research was conducted in April 2021 in the villages of Mubraidiba and Meinyunfoka, North Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency. The research method used is descriptive method and case study by describing precisely the conditions of the place and object of research that are in accordance with the existing research objectives. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. Data and information were analyzed descriptively with a multinomial regression model approach. From the research conducted, it was found that the safe criteria for turtle conservation in Mubraidiba and Meinyunfoka villages have conditions that are very vulnerable to turtle conservation, which is indicated by the highest percentage value of 37.9%, while several other criteria have a fairly high percentage value such as the vulnerable criteria (34.4%) and neutral (20.6%). The public's perception of turtle conservation is on a neutral criterion, namely vulnerable values of 9-11 with the highest total percentage of 86.1%, while the very safe criteria has the lowest percentage of 0%. community participation to take an active role in protecting and conserving turtles directly is still lacking, as indicated by the highest percentage of 37.9%.
